2024 Christmas Stroll Schedule

THURSDAY, DEC. 5
The South Boston Christmas Stroll will take place on Thursday, Dec. 5, beginning at 4 p.m. and will feature Santa Claus riding on an antique fire truck followed by up-and- coming superstar Lauren Mahoney riding in a Classic Convertible.
Santa is making a bit of a change in his route, going up Old Colony to Dorchester Street on his way to four stops on East and West Broadway (there will be hot chocolate and treats at each stop):
Medal of Honor Park: 4:15 p.m.
Library on East Broadway: 4:45 p.m. (where Santa will light the tree!)
West Broadway Municipal Parking Lot: 5:15 p.m.
Corner of C Street and West Broadway: 5:45 p.m.
The Original Dickens Carolers will be strolling and performing your favorite Christmas songs along East Broadway (4-6 p.m.) and West Broadway (5-7 p.m.).
Free Pedicab rides will be available from 5:30-7:30 p.m. to whisk you to your favorite establishments for shopping and dining.
The Stroll is organized by the South Boston Chamber of Commerce and South Boston Neighborhood Development Corporation.

About Lauren Mahoney: “You can sing R&B, you can sing gospel, rock & roll, contemporary, you can sing the whole bag,” says one major music industry insider of 18-year-old Andover, MA native Lauren Mahoney. Lauren’s music career was officially launched with her Season 2 win of New Hampshire’s Seabrook Idol Vocal Competition. Her vocals have been described as “unexpectedly soulful,” and many have remarked on the difficulty and fearlessness she brings to her performances at such a young age. She has been compared to singers such as Toni Braxton and Joni Mitchell. Most recently she won Classical All-State Singer ’23. Lauren is a student at Boston University where she plans to pursue her B.M. in Classical Vocal Performance.
